Help Karin’s Brain

Hello I am Karin's brain  

I haven’t wanted to tell Karin, BUT I NEED A BREAK! I have been dealing with a lot of stress for a long time for many reasons: domestic violence, abuse, unfinished divorce, debts and more debts and all the effort we make to take care of her two children.

All of this has made me stretch out even further without resting.

On October 10th, I couldn't take it anymore. While we were driving with Karin I turned off and she crashed her car into a fire hydrant.

When I returned, I was in a hospital. I discovered that Karin and I had seizures and we had been intubated and in a coma for 2 days. A  doctor approached Karin to tell her what I could not show her before, a tumor of ... 22mm x 35mm ... was lodged in my frontal lobe.

At that time the doctors indicated that in order for me to continue functioning as a brain, this tumor had to be removed.

This surgery is very complex because of the place where the tumor is located, and the intervention would open Karin's head from ear to ear to reach me and remove this tumor.

At night, Karin and I talk about all the cost she is facing because I am sick and have to have surgery. The cost of the surgery itself is about $ 50,000.

Nowadays, as I am ill, Karin cannot work, cannot support her children, pay the rent, pay her extensive debts with lawyers and credit cards, and much less pay for such an expensive surgery.

As if that were not enough, Karin's mother died suddenly in May 2021 in Chile, she was unable to travel due to financial problems as well as the violence and abuse that her ex-husband continues to cause in her life.

After a lot of thinking, as Karin's brain, I decided to ask for help.

Because Karin, despite everything that has happened to her has never liked asking for help or people to feel sorry for her.

But today as a brain I have decided to speak out! Because I need this surgery so I don’t turn off. I need a break to recover from the surgery, without worrying about Karin and her kids’ living expenses for a few months.

Who is Karin~

She is a 40-year-old mom of 2 kiddos, Nagib 9Y and Mila 6Y. Her husband and her shared an import company in Chile, and they decided to start living in the states with their kids back in 2016. In 2019 she started a divorce due to the abuse and domestic violence she suffered during her marriage and her turning point was realizing the damage her kids were suffering. She is still in the middle of the divorce because the ex husband has been abusing her financially and emotionally.

He isn’t paying the family support the court ordered and is getting away with it because his money coming from abroad.

It is extremely hard being a single mom with this health condition and with no money at all.

Karin is a self-made artist. She found in art an emotional support which has given her the strength to continue fighting for her family.

Hola soy el cerebro de Karin, 

No le había querido decir a Karin, pero NECESITO VACACIONES! Hace tiempo que vengo lidiando con mucho estrés en el trabajo, por diferentes razones; violencia doméstica, abuso, divorcio inconcluso, deudas y más deudas y todo el esfuerzo que hacemos para salir adelante con sus dos hijos.
Como si fuera poco, a Karin se le murió su mamá repentinamente en Mayo de este año en Chile, ella no pudo viajar debido a problemas económicos y a la violencia y abuso que su ex marido continúa provocando en su vida.
Todo esto me hizo sobre exigirme aún más sin descansar.
Hasta que el 10 de Octubre pasado, no aguante más, y colapsé tanto que mientras íbamos manejando con Karin, no la pude ayudar más , yo me apagué y ella chocó contra un grifo. 
Cuando volví, estaba en un hospital,  me enteré que el cuerpo de Karin y yo, habíamos  convulsionado y que habíamos estado entubados y en coma por 2 días .
Un doctor se acerca a Karin para contarle lo que yo no pude mostrarle antes, un tumor de.,…cm cm.. estaba alojado en el lóbulo frontal de mi. En ese momento los médicos indicaron que para yo seguir funcionando como cerebro, este tumor me lo tienen que sacar.
Esta cirugía es de alta complejidad por el lugar donde el tumor está alojado,y la intervención sería abrir de oreja a oreja la cabeza de Karin para llegar a mi y sacarme este tumor.

Karin y yo por las noches hemos estado conversando sobre todo el costo que significa que yo esté enfermo y me deba operar. El costo sólo de la cirugía es de aproximadamente $50.000 
Hoy en dia como estoy enfermo, Karin no puede trabajar, no puede mantener a sus hijos, pagar arriendo, ni mucho menos pagar una operación así de costosa.

Después de mucho pensarlo yo el cerebro de Karin he decidido pedir ayuda,

porque Karin, a pesar de todo lo que le ha pasado (violencia doméstica, divorcio, demandas de pensión alimenticia, duelo y un largo excederá ) nunca le ha gustado pedir ayuda ni dar lastima. 

Pero hoy como cerebro he decidido hablar porque esta operación la necesito para no apagarme, así como también unas merecidas vacaciones para recuperarme de la cirugía en donde los gastos de vida de Karin y los niños se vean asegurados.
