Help Karma recover from a vicious pit bull attack

Hi Everyone,
On Wednesday night my service dog Karma was viciously attacked by a pit bull. The owner of the dog refused to give me her details and took off after the attack. My neighbors ran after her to get her details, but she gave a fake name and number.
Poor Karma had to have emergency surgery Wednesday night and I had to drop my shift on Thanksgiving to stay home and take care of him. At this point he’s had 3 visits to the emergency veterinary hospital and I’m already $2000 out of pocket. We’re trying desperately to save one of his ears but it might need to be amputated. The animal hospital estimates that the total cost of his treatment will be $5000-$7000. I’m a single mum with a special needs child who only makes minimum wage and at this point I’m struggling just to make the minimum payment on my credit card. Any help you can give towards Karma’s treatment is greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading this and I hope your holidays are better than ours.
Update: Thank you everyone for helping me to reach my original goal. The hospital estimated that Karma’s care could cost $5000-$7000, but that figure could be much higher if they have to amputate the ear. Currently Karma has a really bad infection in the wounds so we’re truly fighting to keep his ear at this point. Both Karma and I thank you all from the bottoms of our hearts. Any funds not used for Karma’s treatment and care will be donated to animal charities in the Los Angeles area.
