Help Karole - a Veteran, Nurse & Quadruple Amputee
Donation protected
Karole Steagall is a shining light in the lives of so many—a fun, generous soul with a kind heart and a subtle, witty sense of humor that keeps everyone on their toes. A proud female Army veteran, Karole dedicated her life to helping others, first as a psychiatric nurse and then as a beloved school nurse for Fayette County Public Schools.
Tragically, Karole’s life changed forever when she survived severe septic shock, an ordeal that nearly took her life in October of 2023. Her recovery has been a grueling challenge that no one should ever have to endure. As a result, she is now a quadruple amputee. After months of care at the University of Kentucky Hospital and Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital, Karole is currently continuing her recovery journey at the VA for rehabilitation. Her hope is to, one day soon, live independently again.
The weight of medical expenses from her extended hospital stays, combined with the heartbreaking reality that she can no longer work in nursing, has placed a significant financial burden on Karole and her two sons, Maynard and Zaq.
We are reaching out to ask for your support. Any donation, no matter how big or small, will help alleviate the medical debt and provide some much-needed relief for Karole and her loved ones as they navigate this challenging time.
Your generosity can make a world of difference for someone who has spent her life caring for others. Let’s show Karole the same compassion and support she’s always given to those around her.
Please donate what you can—every little bit helps.
Thank you for your kindness, your support, and for standing with Karole as she continues to heal and adjust to her new life.
With gratitude,
