Help Karson attend their first Tourettes Camp

Hi, I’m Kate and I’m mum to Karson. Karson is neurodiverse, has OCD, sensory and mental health issues but the most challenging for her every day is living with Tourette’s syndrome. Karson doesn’t know anyone else with TS so they feel very isolated. Her tics make her anxious when she goes anywhere, which just make her tic more.

We found out about a Tourettes camp in Victoria for teens and we’ve put our names down to attend as it would be such an amazing experience for her. The friendships she will make and tools she will learn make it so important for us to attend. The camp also gives support to the parents, which I could do with as I’m learning as I go!

This year, the camp doesn’t have the funding they normally have so we’re having to pay to attend. The costs of attending, travelling expenses for the 6 hour round trip to get there and all other expenses for the 4 day camp are unfortunately above what I can cover as a single Mum with my own disability.

I’ve never asked for help but if anyone can donate to help make this much needed camp happen, we’d be so grateful. Thank you xx
