Help Kasey Regain Her Health

Dear Family, Friends, and Supporters,

I'm reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a deep sense of gratitude for your support in our time of need. Our beloved mother, Kasey, is currently battling a complex and life-threatening medical condition, and my parents are in desperate need of assistance to help her regain her health and give her a fighting chance at life.

In the summer, my mom began experiencing unexplained weight gain and severe fluid retention throughout her body. This led to numerous hospital stays, countless doctor's visits, and a relentless search for answers. After months of uncertainty, it was determined that her kidneys and liver are struggling to function properly, leading to the severe buildup of fluid in her body. This has been both physically and emotionally taxing.

At one point, she gained over 100 pounds due to this fluid buildup Her journey has taken her to hospitals in Mt Pleasant, Bay City, and she is currently at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. The dedicated medical team at the University of Michigan identified the root cause of her symptoms – a failing liver.

Initially, there was hope that her liver might recover on its own, but the situation has worsened over time. The doctors have informed us that she may require a liver transplant, and she's now on the waiting list. This ordeal has kept my mom in and out of hospitals since July, and there is still no set timeline for her release as her health remains too fragile.

As my mom continues her battle, my parents are struggling to keep up with mounting medical bills, home expenses, and the emotional toll this situation has taken on all of us. My dad, who has exhausted his sick and vacation days, commutes multiple hours between work and home in Mt Pleasant to be by my mom's side. They are both dedicated, hardworking individuals who have always been self-reliant and never asked for help.

We are reaching out to our community, friends, and loved ones for support. We believe that together, we can make a difference in my mom's life and provide the financial assistance needed to navigate this challenging journey ahead. Your generous support will help cover mounting medical bills, transportation costs, and support my parents during this critical time.
