Help Kate McCann Kick Cancer

Hi, my name is Amy Young and I am asking for your help in raising funds for my dear friend Kate McCann. In November 2022, Kate had a routine colonoscopy and was diagnosed with colon cancer. Later tests showed that cancer had spread to her liver. Kate started chemotherapy right away at the University of Vermont Medical Center. She is traveling to New York City to consult with doctors at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I would love to see the burden of unexpected expenses lifted from the shoulders of the McCann family. Kate has been a champion for teachers and students at the local level through her dedication to teaching and her work as union chair. She has also been the champion of teachers statewide through her work with the Pension Task Force. As if that was not enough Kate was recently elected to the Vermont House of Representatives where she plans to continue her change-maker work. She is truly a hero. Now is the time for us to fight for Kate!
