Help Katelyn Spread Kindness in Wisconsin!

Donation protected
Katelyn Much is a 8-year-old from Wisconsin who is on a mission to spread kindness. Each year for her birthday, in lieu of gifts, she selects a charity to benefit and asks for contributions toward the cause. It has become a cherished tradition that has expanded the whole year.

For her first project, Katelyn collected food, cleaning supplies, and toys for the Neenah Animal Shelter and Pawffee Shop Cat Cafe, a nod to her dream of becoming a vet. The following year, she collected new stuffed animal friends for children in the hospital at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin-Fox Valley. This year, she assembled birthday cake kits for families who could not afford a party and donated them to St. Vincent de Paul-St. Joseph's Conference and HELP of Door County, Inc.

This girl is on a mission and has expanded her efforts beyond her birthday. This year she organized two "Cookies & Cards" parties to make Christmas cards for veterans. She delivered them to VFW Post #3088 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin and the American Legion Post #38 in Appleton, Wisconsin. She additionally sang to the veterans to thank them for her service. She added a third surprise stop to the American Legion in Sturgeon Bay where she received a military salute from the post commander. He personally delivered the cards to the veterans who reside at the veterans home in King, WI.

Katelyn hopes to add even more projects to her plans and hopes to inspire other kids to show kindness, no matter how big or small the gesture. She served as the 2024 St. Vincent de Paul Honorary Chairperson for the Friends of the Poor Walk in Sturgeon Bay and sang in English and Latin during bell ringing over Christmas for the Salvation Army.

100% of funds raised will go toward expenses for her future projects and for supplies to expand her efforts throughout more communities in Wisconsin.

In February 2025, Katelyn was nominated and won the 2025 Do Good Wisconsin Youth Impact Service Award in Madison, WI. She is the youngest winner (age 7) to have won the award in the organization's history. In honor of her award, she received a personal letter from Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers congratulating her on her efforts.
