Help fuel Katelyn West's Olympic dream!

Hello again skater friends.

My name is Katelyn West! I want to thank all of you who so generously helped me get to the World Skate Championships in San Juan, Argentina in May. I was so honored to represent all of you, and of course Team USA. It was an incredible experience and my first time out of the country!

I made a lot of new friends, learned about International competition, and placed 39th in the world. I am currently ranked 10th in the USA in the Women’s Park category.

For those of you that don’t know me, I just turned 13 years old, and live in Sebastapol, California. I have been skating for almost three years. I started skating during Covid with my best friend Annabelle who is with me in this picture. If it wasn’t for Annabel, (@annabowl_smith) I wouldn’t be skating today!

Based on my performance in that event, I have been formerly invited by USA Skateboarding to represent TEAM USA in Rome in October.

This is an Olympic qualifying event, and my dream is to represent the USA in the Olympics, and bring home the GOLD.

I'll be riding my favorite Dogtown Board, on Bones wheels and bearings, wearing my trusty Van's shoe's, pads by 187 Killer pads, and Triple 8 Helmets.

This past Labor Day weekend, I placed first in the annual Malibu Chili Cook-off hosted by Bones Loves Milk which honored Johny Strange, and benefited the Boy's and Girl's Club of Malibu. I am feeling ready to rip up Rome! With your support, we hope to raise $7000 to help with the total travel costs of $10,000. I’ve already raised $3000 from my own savings and family.
