Help Danenberg's Recover after Lost Everything in Eaton Fire
Donation protected
My parents, Kathy and Pete, have had their world upended by the Eaton fire that destroyed their beloved home—everything they built, loved, and cherished, reduced to ashes. While they are heartbroken by the loss, they are incredibly grateful that they made it out safely.
35 years ago, my parents bought their dream home in the Altadena foothills. As the fires ravaged Los Angeles, they watched ring cameras go black and their solar panels flash "0% power," and their community go up in flames. On the morning of Wednesday, January 8, 2025, the worst was confirmed: our home is gone.
They had quickly evacuated with only the clothes on their backs, and now they face the hard reality of starting over, but the road ahead is long.
That’s why this fund exists—to give them the resources and support they need to restart their lives. With this GoFundMe, I am reaching out to friends, family, and extended community, to provide stability and hope as they navigate this painful chapter in their lives.

If you've read this far, you should know that my parents are some of the kindest, most generous people I've ever known.
A Professor of Cancer Research, my dad, at USC for 35+ years before retiring, and my mom, a Cancer Diagnostics entrepreneur, offered critical DNA profiling to help countless patients towards recovery.
Their hospitality is the stuff of legends. Whether it was taking in my Niece when she was still a baby, a Friend in a substance Recovery Program who needed a "safe haven", a High-school Student who wanted to come to LA for the Summer, or close Family members going through a transition—They never turned anyone away, and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand.
They have always been there for others. Now, I am hopeful we can be there for them.

This GoFundMe will provide additional support to cover unexpected costs and crucial needs not covered by other sources of aid and—will help Kathy and Pete, begin to to restore the pieces of their lives. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a tremendous difference and will help them get back on their feet.
If you're unable to contribute financially, please share this page with others, it is a powerful way to show support!
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and encouragement. Your help during this devastating time truly means more than words can express.
With love and gratitude, thank you so much. God bless ❤️
