Help Kathy Bowie Fix Charlie Brown

Hi. If you're here, you might know Kathy Bowie as an icon in the Seattle/Green Lake/Wallingford Community. She is endlessly selfless and is always helping others. One of the MANY ways she helps the community is by running a Food Bank / Free Market from her front porch. Three times a week - and sometimes more - her VW bus, "Charlie Brown" (usually driven by Paul) treks to local markets to do food pickups.

Earlier this week, Charlie Brown was stolen and vandalized. Although he/it was recovered, the interior was thoroughly contaminated with Fentanyl, the hand brake was broken, and the exterior paint was severely damaged as the thieves tried to remove the unique identifiable design with paint stripper, sandpaper and metal scrapers.

The damage to the bus is not covered at all by insurance. It's still unknown what the full extent of the repairs will be (the bus is so contaminated that it can't even be brought to the shop yet), but the costs will be substantial.

Charlie Brown has been in service for the benefit of Seattle/Green Lake/Wallingford and we should rally in support of its restoration. Also, Kathy deserves the same generosity that she has shown our community.
