Help Kathy McCauley with Accident Recovery

Our Friend Kathy McCauley...

Hello friends and neighbors. This is Stephanie Flint. I am sharing a fundraiser for my dear friend Kathy McCauley. Whether you know Kathy from Chattanooga, Grady’s Goodtime’s, UTC, Atlanta, Brusters Toco Hills & Decatur or Druid Hills Middle School you all know how hard Kathy works for herself, her daughter Nina, her students and her former employees and of course her friends and family and what a great friend she is to all. Now is our time to help Kathy.

ACCIDENT

Kathy had an unfortunate  accident on Saturday, November 7th. She took a spill down her front steps and broke one ankle (complete break) and fractured her other foot. She had surgery Monday, November 9th.  She had to have a steel plate and a screw placed in her ankle.  

As of today, 11/15/20 she  is still in the hospital working on recovery and physical therapy. While Kathy does have insurance there are deductibles, physical therapy, car payment and mortgage that all have to be paid.  

Kathy is currently a graduate student and works for Druid Hills Middle School. 

HELP

Once Kat is released from the hospital she’ll be in a wheelchair for a bit and won’t be able to drive.  Kathy’s 17 year old daughter Nina lives with her mom but does not drive. Kathy and Nina will need a some extra support with Kathy’s hospital bill, meals, and other basics in addition to car payment and mortgage payment.  I will update as specific needs come to light.  

This past year has been tough on everyone and I understand everyone’s circumstances are different but ANY amount you can spare is greatly appreciated. 

I am especially reaching out to Kathy’s Grady’s Family and anyone who knew or worked for  Kathy at Brusters Toco Hills and Decatur.
