Help Kathy replace her dead Prius

Donation protected
All money donated will go directly to Kathleen as it will be her car.
My girlfriend Kathleen Enfield & I spent $1,300 of our combined stimulus money to repair our 2007 Prius in March after it blew the head gasket last September. Sadly it would not start & we sold it at a huge loss from what we paid for it.
The catalytic converter was stolen while it was parked and that cost is $200 along with the small battery which was $250.
The car would not start because the main battery died & we had no money to replace it.
It cost $800 to replace the head gasket.
Both of us have mobility issues due to injuries and Kathy cannot walk long distances nor can I without great pain.
We are both on SSI and can no longer work due to our injuries.
We have saved up $1,000 and will add the Federal and California stimulus fund to her account when we get it.
However, we want a Prius with low mileage and the touring package because it will be easier on our backs & she has to carry groceries & cat food home on the bus which limits her ability to carry things.
She drives me to medical appointments and the store too.
With the extra stimulus money we will have $3,000 and I will add $500 but I have to redeem coin loans used to help her move when she got evicted for remodeling.
We are seniors and would appreciate any help we can get.
