In loving memory of Katia Carmona de Bautista

Katia is a mom, daughter, and sister, a young woman full of love for God.

On October 1st during a call with the doctor she received the heart wrenching news that she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Not only the physical impact of the news but the emotional impact is overwhelming for anyone to hear.

Prior to the diagnosis, she had doctor appointments, blood tests, bone marrow biopsy due to severe symptoms she was rapidly experiencing. She was taken to the hospital to be treated immediately after the diagnosis.

Katia went through her first chemotherapy, had blood and platelet transfusions and antibiotics etc. After dealing with the intense effects of chemo. She is continuing to stay strong and in good spirits and good faith. She has now been discharged from the hospital to be home and recover to continue her treatments. A difficult journey in which we won’t allow her to face alone.

We are asking for all the help we can get for medical bills that will be accrued overtime. We need support to take care of our home with rent, food, utilities while we are taking care of Katia in these difficult times. While not being able to fully be there for her daughter Hadassah of 3 years. Many back and forth appointments will be done (for a longer period) than is expected, which will require much time and energy.
