Help Katie and Me the Caregiver Relocate

As most of you know who have been following along, I uprooted my life and moved in to be my mom’s caretaker as she suffers from dementia. Unfortunately, she needed far more care and has been placed in long-term memory care. It’s $13,000 a month. Her home must be sold to cover her care.

My mom planned for this possibility and guaranteed me that if I needed to move, she would cover the expense. When I came here, I had to break my lease and lost everything (first, last, security deposit, and 1 month's additional rent as a penalty for breaking the lease).

Fast forward to now. My sister is the power of attorney. She and my mom’s lawyer refuse to honor covering my expenses to move. Never mind that I can’t afford to rent in Orange County and must move back to the desert. I will not be able to be with my mom. It’s all quite purposeful on my sister’s part.

So here I am asking for help so I can get myself moved back. My heart is shattered over all of this. Quite frankly, I’m so really tired and worn down. I’m moving through this mainly because I have my mom’s cat to continue caring for. Not sure I can handle much more and yet here I am.

Any help you can get me to my goal would be greatly appreciated. Katie (my mom’s kitty) and I need to start again. I’m open to leaving the state at this point. California is unaffordable for me, tbh.
