Help Katie get private treatment

my name is Leanne and I’m trying to help my beautiful friend Katie raise funds for treatments which she can be referred for privately. 

Katie was sadly diagnosed June 26th 2020 with stage 3 cervical cancer, she started chemo on her 34th birthday and In true Katie fashion she smashed it.

Katie was up to date with her smear tests and was fobbed off time and time again mainly because the smears were clear and up to date. Before the diagnosis she had a very successful career in the army which she desperately misses but most importantly she’s a wife to Jay and a mum to 3 beautiful children ages, 11, 9 and 3.

the treatment went well and at Christmas last year 2020 was given the great news that the cancer had gone. The absolute elation everyone felt was short lived as in April 2021 Katie was given the bad news once again the cancer had returned and this time spread to other places but mainly to her neck, she knew in February 2021 something wasn’t right with her neck so begged the drs to scan her, the drs agreed to a scan but they quickly come back and said it was all clear, Katie started to think she was imagining it but low and behold a lump started to form and it was cancer. Looking back at the scan they agreed it had actually been there but been missed.

Katie has been given 4-6 months life expectancy, this is obviously a statistic and different people will survive longer or less but that’s the time frame the drs have given, but today she’s been offered a treatment that isn’t available on the nhs. This treatment will help Katie with the severe pain she suffers daily. It will also give her more time to get on to the clinical trials available which she has been put forward for, but ultimately the biggest wish is to spend a bit more time with her children.

any money raised will 100% go towards helping Katie live, and if there is money left and Katie’s loses her battle it will be given to another patient or cervical cancer charity.
