Help Katie Kadaver get to Tromaville!

As many of you know, I am a horror movie lover and have been a supporter of independent cinema for many years, as it's an art form that has inspired so many of my personal creative endeavors. It's been a long-time dream of mine to act in a film directed by one of my creative idols, Lloyd Kaufman, and this summer I have been presented with an opportunity to travel to New York to do just that! But I need your help.

Later this summer, Lloyd Kaufman is set to direct what he has said will be his last film, THE POWER OF POSITIVE MURDER. I have been given the opportunity to have a speaking role in this film, which is quite possibly the greatest honor I can imagine as a lover of Troma, horror, and independent cinema.

As this is a feature film with a full production, there will be a week of rehearsals, a week of shooting, and some time with the SFX department to work out any kinks. As of right now this has me going to New York for 2 separate weeks, unless the shooting schedule for my part were to change.

As many of you know, I am self-employed and when I'm not working, I'm not getting paid. Traveling to New York for 2 weeks is unfortunately not in my budget as a self-employed single mom, but I would still love to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity to not only realize my dream of acting in a feature film directed by Lloyd Kaufman, but to also bring some much needed plus size representation to the big screen! Women that look like me don't often get opportunities like this and it would mean the world to me to be able to showcase Katie Kadaver in this way.
