Help Kaupo walk

Donation protected
This is Kaupo, our youngest brother, and the bravest of us all. He’s been fighting to walk since the day he was born, and as his two older brothers, we’ve been by his side every step of the way.

What we were first told was just slightly bent feet, likely due to a lack of space in the womb, seemed harmless at first. Even after two weeks of careful examination at the children's hospital, we were reassured it was nothing more. But deep down, something didn’t feel right. Then came the news no parent is prepared for.

Kaupo was born with a rare condition, found in only 1 in 40,000 children. It’s usually marked by the absence of one or more toes, a clear sign for most—but not for Kaupo. All his tiny toes were there, making it easy for the doctors to miss the truth. We were facing something far more complex: Fibular Hemimelia.

There it was—the full diagnosis: a partially missing fibular bone, fusion of two heel bones, outward bent feet, and a 3 cm shortening of the left leg—Fibular Hemimelia.
For Kaupo to be able to walk freely and be just as strong as he’s brothers he needs to follow a treatment plan: super ankle surgery around 18-24 months, and leg lengthening at 4-5 years.
Untill then he needs to wear orthotics and a shoe lift.

We’ve done everything we could: therapy, surgeries, treatments. So far, we’ve spent 230000 SEK (20000€) to get him the care he needs.
But we’re not there yet. To give him the chance to walk, we need to raise 700000 SEK (60000€) more for surgery.
We’ve done everything within our power, and now we need your help.
Please, if you can, donate, share, and spread Kaupo’s story. He deserves the chance to walk beside his two brothers.

Thank you so much for your kindness and support!
