Help Kayla Rebuild After Hurricane Milton
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Kayla Andrasco. I am located in Lakeland Florida. Hurricane Milton took absolutely everything from me and my family. A flash flood hit the property. Within a couple hours the water was waist high. Septic sewage water also came in, destroying everything. Car, home, and all belongings are gone, including all my art supplies for my small business. I had to sit on a countertop overnight with my cat Garbanzo in a crate. That was a night I will never forget. I really thought I wasn’t going to make it. Once water was almost to the windows, and the hurricane was coming through, the windows were shaking, along with the doors. I wrote a letter and put it in a cabinet thinking search and rescue would find a body. We were rescued by kayak the following day by my brother, as emergency services never came. I now have a temporary foster set up for Garbanzo, which is great! My entire life is now in a garbage bag, and that’s okay. We are all alive. As of today, I am houseless. Very grateful to be alive, but feeling very hopeless and scared. I hate asking for financial aid, as I know so many people are displaced from this storm and other storms. I just didn’t know what else to do. Even sharing this would mean the world to me. The funds would be used to hopefully find a cheap vehicle, try to find a place to live, pay for bills, and get back on my feet. Please help me and Garbanzo get reunited. Thank you so much for reading my story.
