Help Kaylee Study in Belize

Hi everyone!
My name is Kaylee Knapp and I am a sophomore at the University of North Texas. This summer I have the opportunity to continue my journey to become a speech-language pathologist by joining the UNT Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology department on a 10-day study abroad trip to San Ignacio, Belize. This trip will give me the chance to expand my clinical experience and learn the skills needed to be a proficient SLP. Being in such a diverse area like Belize will allow me to see patients that speak multiple languages, and come from many different backgrounds. I can then learn how these factors affect certain communication disorders and how the population communicates in everyday life. I feel called to immerse myself in more volunteer work and use my skill set to do good things for people around the world. I believe this study abroad opportunity would teach me so many valuable lessons that I can apply to my education, future career, and my life overall. This would be my very first study-abroad experience and I think it will be life-changing! However, this trip is expensive! I will need help to cover the costs associated with airfare, transportation, food, lodging, etc. Anything you would be able to give would be so greatly appreciated!!
Thank you so much!
