Help Kaylee-Ann become a tattoo artist!!

Hello friends and family! This is definitely out of my comfort zone here, but as many of you know I am an aspiring artist. I have been a creative person for majority of my life, going all the way back to grade school. Most of us when we were younger were asked “what do you wanna be when you grow up?”. For me the answer was simple and to this day the answer has remained the same. I want to be a tattoo artist. I’ve always had a huge fascination with tattoos, probably because majority of my family are covered in them. My parents use to get on me for constantly drawing on my skin. Not only was I drawing on myself, but my friends and family would often ask me to draw on them as well which I would do no hesitation. I spent endless hours in class doodling, endless hours at home making art. I even went as far as dropping out of high school my junior year and deciding to go back and get my GED 3 years later so I could go to college and pursue an art career. I’ve only been in college for a year now, but it has truly been a uplifting experience. I’ve gotten so many compliments from my professors that I would’ve never imagined getting. I had so much anxiety going into school because I feared I wasn’t gonna be good enough. Instead I went in and received endless compliments from my classmates and professors. I had professors tell me I was an A+ student, I was one of the best in the class, they saw so much potential in me. I had professors introduce me to other professors with excitement telling them of the great work I’ve done. I had professors compare my work to the work of other well known famous artist. With all that being said, I’m so far from where I wanna be as an artist but I’ve already come so far from where I’ve started. Recently I had a HUGE opportunity present itself to me. A local tattoo artist has given me the opportunity of doing a traditional apprenticeship underneath him. I have been given the opportunity of getting my foot into the door into the tattoo industry, I have been given the opportunity to learn from someone I consider to be an excellent artist and can learn a lot from, and I have been given the opportunity to follow a life long dream of mine. Although in order to do this apprenticeship, I do have to pay a $3500 upfront fee. Unfortunately I don’t have that type of money lying around. It is my hopes though I might be able to get some support and donations from my friends and family and all of the people who have supported me over the years. I am adding an additional $1000 in hopes of being able to use that money for equipment. Starting this apprenticeship, I will have to follow certain steps before taking on clients, but in return for any donations, I will gladly be booking for little to NO COST (depending on the work) for the friends and family who support me. Even if you can’t donate, spread the word! Any help is greatly appreciated! (:
