Support Kayleigh in Her Fight Against Leukemia

Hi, my name is Conner. My best friend of 17 years, Kayleigh (aged 24), received unexpected, devastating news a few days ago. Kayleigh was diagnosed with Leukemia after feeling unwell for weeks prior, which led to being admitted to the hospital in a life-threatening condition. Fortunately, the prognosis following treatment is promising. Kayleigh will be in the hospital for 4-6 weeks to receive treatment, and will then receive treatment going to and from hospital for the next year or so.

Kayleigh's parents have recently moved to Nova Scotia while she remains in Ontario. This fundraiser is in hopes of raising money to offload the financial stress of travel, hotel stays, rent, and bills. Kayleigh's mom has flown back to Ontario to be with her during her treatment, and her father will be traveling back and forth.

Hi everyone, I received some unexpected news this week - I was diagnosed with leukemia. While this is news that no one should have to hear in their lifetime, I am fortunate that I was diagnosed with one of the most curable types. My family and friends are, and continue to be, beyond supportive, and I couldn’t be more thankful. My parents have always been so generous and supportive; they have done everything in their power so that I can be stress-free and focus on my recovery, including flying from Nova Scotia to be with me during this difficult time. I appreciate the continued love, positivity and support from everyone. It will be a long battle, but I’m staying positive and am determined to beat cancer!!!!!!
