Three months ago, just before her final high school rodeo, Red Man faced a devastating accident, and despite every effort to save him, Kayley had to say goodbye. She showed incredible strength by riding Churro the next day, honoring her dear friend's memory.

Adding to the heartache, last week, Churro, Kayley's beloved companion whom she calls her "soul," fell seriously ill. Despite multiple local vet visits and medication, Churro's condition worsened, leading to an urgent trip for emergency care at UC Davis Veterinary Hospital. Even with the expertise of top equine vets and days of intensive treatment, including tests, x-rays, and ultrasounds, they remained puzzled by Churro's condition. His health continued to decline, requiring fluid drainage from his stomach every two hours. Despite relentless efforts and expert care, there were no answers, and Kayley faced the unimaginable decision of saying goodbye to her best friend, her soul.

Kayley's dream of college rodeo now hangs in the balance. She worked tirelessly to secure a place at Cal Poly to pursue her passion for equine and rodeo, but the mounting vet bills and the loss of her beloved horses have cast a shadow over her dreams.
