Help Kayley Study Abroad

Hey everyone,

I am a social work and sociology student at UWSP. As I shared earlier in the fall, my goal is to study abroad in Europe for the summer semester. I intend to pay out of pocket, use FAFSA, and of course earn any scholarships or grants I can to help me afford to go abroad. I work and attend school full time as well as clean houses, dog sit, and do photography on the side for extra cash to put towards my trip.

I had plans to go abroad during 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic unfortunately got in the way of that. That experience made me realize I don’t know what lies ahead, so it’s best to take the opportunity while I can. I really don’t want to pass up this amazing experience. While I will continue doing everything I can to save money for my trip, my recent health challenges made me realize I can only work so much extra before my health is negatively affected. Full transparency, given the costliness of studying abroad, even with hard work and my best efforts, I think I’ll need some support.
