Help Kaylie Recover From Hurricane Idalia

Hi there! My name is Oliver and I’m raising money for my older sister, Kaylie, who was recently displaced by hurricane Idalia which just hit Floridas west coast. She was living in a street level apartment which flooded with almost a foot of contaminated water as the near by sea levels rose. As a result, she has lost most of her belongings, including furniture, her mattress, clothes, appliances, personal belongings, and much more. She has since been forced out of her apartment, which she must be out of by September 8th. This has not only been physically stressful for her as she moves out what little she has left, but emotionally stressful as well, as she has been dealing with the loss of her home as well as most of her personal belongings. At the time of this devastating natural disaster, my sister is in between jobs, as she is studying for her upcoming real estate exam, so her funds are currently low. Kaylie has always been extremely responsible and has put countless others before herself. She took care of our disabled mother as well as our father for several years, all while maintaining a full time job while I was away at school and often times she used her own money to make ends meet. She has maintained a job almost consistently since the age of 16 and relied on her own earnings to cover any bills she had, as our parents were not in a position to help out financially. The rental insurance on her apartment did not cover flood insurance, so there’s little hope for assistance recovering what she lost. Any money raised for her would be used to replace damaged belongings, pay for some upcoming bills, as well as possibly helping her with her relocation into a new apartment. We would appreciate anyone who is in a position to help out, though we understand everyone is going through their own hardships so, simply sharing with your friends would be more than enough!
