Help Kaylie give Reza the send off he deserves
I am setting up this GoFund me on behalf of my friend Kaylie McGrath who tragically lost her soulmate Reza yesterday when he heroically jumped into the river to save his step-daughter Khloe who is my daughter Eva's school friend.
Kaylie has lost a wonderful man who cherished her, who loved her daughters and the precious daughter they shared together.
Reza was a kind person who always put his partner and three beautiful daughters first and deserves a send off that reflects this and his immensely heroic act.
He fled persecution from his home country of Iran and met Kaylie shortly after. He was a Christian and regularly attended church. Kaylie would love to keep him here and laid to rest as a Christian but understands his parents would love to have him back with them. Even in her time of grief her selflessness is reflected as was Reza's when he lost his life trying to save his step-daughter Khloe.
Reza was just a few days away from receiving British citizenship and as such Kaylie is not eligible for bereavement benefits or any other financial support.
Life as a single mother is tough, even more so when your children need extra help as her older daughters have autism. This immensely strong and brave lady now needs all the support we can give her.
I am hoping that, as a community, we can come together to help a family in need by removing the financial pressure they have been put under and by supporting them in any way possible.
Any donation big or small will help.
