Help KCFD Firefighter Beat Cancer



Keith Hernandez is a 29 year old Fire Apparatus Engineer who works for Kings County Fire Department. He has lived out his dream of protecting and serving the community as a firefighter for 5 years. But Keith was diagnosed with a rare form of  cancer in early December and was immediately admitted to the local hospital in Visalia. He found out that he has a large cancerous mass that collapsed his left lung as well as metastasized. With the love and support of his family and friends, he has started an aggressive chemotherapy treatment, and will be receiving more treatment from a Stanford specialists. Surprised and shocked from the diagnosis, he now works hard towards getting well. He and his wife Crystal are also expecting a little baby boy due in January and have a beautiful three year old girl to take care of at home. This fundraiser will help them with any medical expenses as well as the preparation for the new baby. Most of all Keith wants to provide for his family in this difficult time, but also wishes to get back to the job he loves.
