Help Keegan and Katie Protect Local Kids
Donation protected
My name is Doug and I am a Lieutenant on the Lake Elmo Fire Department. Katie Hawke was also formerly a Lieutenant on our department and is now a firefighter on the Stillwater Fire Department.
Katie Hawke is a hard worker and strong mother. Her son Keegan is a sophomore at Stillwater High School. On September 24th, while at practice for football, Keegan suffered a Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
The quick action of the coaches, teammates, trainers, first responders, doctors and nurses saved Keegan’s life.
Katie and Keegan would like to help train first aid and CPR in the St. Croix River Valley.
The majority of donations to this GoFundMe will go to Teddy's Heart (https://teddys-heart.org/) and Project Adam (https://projectadam.com/Adam). Katie and Keegan will work with these organizations and local fire departments to provide free CPR training to youth coaches and to install AED's in parks and practice fields.
Katie and Keegan want to help protect kids in every level of sports. Without these trained heroes being on the field, Keegan would have had a very different outcome.
Keegan and Teddy's Heart have procured an outside AED station to install at a Stillwater sports field. The cost is approximately $7,000 and the installation celebration will be announced by early November. Thank you for your support.
