Family Homeless From Mount Vernon Fire Needs Help

Dear family and friends , on Monday January 31st my life took a drastic turn for the worse. I had to say goodbye to my home of 12 years due to a horrible fire. Not only did this fire cause myself, father, brother and 2 dogs ( 12yrs & 3months) to become homeless, it has also cause physical harm to my fiancé , causing burns to his face and arms. When the fire department (ONE block away) were called, they took way too long to get there leaving my whole life in that house to burn down and not to mention the waterholes were not hooked up immediately to put the fire out. I have been contacting my landlord for months upon months making complaints about the house and he has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but continue to ask for rent money. I am currently enrolled in school to become a dental hygienist and now I have no laptop and books for my studies . My family has only been given 3 days to stay at a hotel and unfortunately that time has come to an end. My father is a senior citizen and I have a young brother that depends on me. If you know me personally, then you know how much pride I have, and asking for favors or handouts isn’t something I normally do.
