Help Keep a Roof Over a Struggling Individual

Hi there! It took a lot of courage to finally make a GoFund Me, but I am in some dire straits. The economy has been challenging, and like many, I've faced some setbacks. Recently laid off, I've been tirelessly job hunting without much luck (though if anyone is looking to hire a very experienced Executive Assistant, let me know!). No work is above or beneath me, but I have even had trouble at restaurants (more on that in a bit).

To make ends meet, I've been nannying and picking up odd jobs, but it’s barely enough to cover rent. The fear of eviction has been weighing heavily on my mind. My family situation has added to the strain: after my father's passing, my mother remarried and unexpectedly sold our childhood home, leaving me without a financial safety net. Last year, I had to leave a domestic violence situation on short notice, which drained my resources further.

A couple of weeks ago I went hiking and had a fall that resulted in a shattered ankle and kneecap. I need major surgery soon, and this injury has disrupted my plans to start a bartending job I recently lined up. Facing another potential eviction and dealing with my injury has been overwhelming.

I don’t like asking for help, but sometimes we all need a little support and I don’t have any more options. Your contribution, no matter how small, would go a long way in helping me cover essential expenses like rent, utilities, and care for my dog while I continue interviewing for positions. It would mean the world to me to keep a roof over our heads and maintain some stability during this difficult time.
