Help keep El Dogo Loco Rescue operating!

Our mission started in 2019 when founder, Gabe, made the move from New York to Puerto Rico with the sole intention of rescuing dogs. There are estimated to be about half a million stray dogs on the island and as discouraging as that number sounds, please keep this in mind: to the world, you are ONE person.. but to your dog, you are THE WORLD! With the help of fellow rescuers in both PR and back in the states, we have been able to rescue and rehabilitate over 200+ animals (this includes dogs, cats, farm animals, etc.) We have poured not only our hearts but our own personal funds into saving countless lives and it has been worth every single penny. Unfortunately, this isn't exactly sustainable when it comes to the future of our rescue. Gabe still has a ton of work to get done to ensure the safety and security of our animals. Just a few things we need funding for but is not limited to:
- Food ($250+ per week)
- TNR ($80 - $120 per dog)
- Vet visits
- Materials to construct reinforced pens
- Dry storage containers
- Back up food supply / medical supplies
- Automatic watering system
- Eventual purchase of a trailer for safe and easy transportation of dogs.
Although the amount we are asking for certainly does not completely cover the cost of all this, the initial amount raised will first be put towards reinforced pens considering Puerto Rico is still technically in hurricane season until November 30th! We NEED to make sure our animals will be properly protected as hurricanes are extremely unpredictable and often devastating. Any further money raised will be used towards the rest of the expenses listed. Please consider donating to our cause and/or sharing. Sharing not only helps us get the word out to those who may be able to donate, but more importantly it's also a chance to help place our rescues in their furever homes!
