For 17 years, Happy China has been more than just a restaurant,
it's been a home away from home. A place where the aroma of delicious crab rangoon fills the air, laughter mingles with the clatter of dishes, and families gather to celebrate life's special moments.
My parents, Man Ling Yang (Tina) and Jing Nuan Jiang, poured their hearts and souls into building Happy China. They came here with a dream - to share the warmth of Chinese cuisine and culture with their new community. Every dish they prepare is a labor of love, a recipe passed down through generations, seasoned with their own special blend of passion and care.
But now, Happy China faces a struggle. Our landlord is trying to terminate our lease, threatening to take away the place that holds so many memories for so many of you.
Unfortunately, legal fees are mounting as we fight to keep our doors open. This is where you come in. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will go a long way in helping us secure legal representation and keep Happy China smiling.
Here's why Happy China matters:
- A taste of home: For many in our community, Happy China is a reminder of cherished traditions and a taste of loved ones far away.
- A gathering place: Happy China is where everyone goes after watching the Hillsboro Hawks win Friday night football. It is a place for birthday celebrations turning into cherished memories, and families coming together over steaming plates of our food.
- A symbol of hard work: My parents built Happy China from the ground up, pouring their sweat and tears into making it a success.
