Help Keep Live Music in Salida, CO!

Hello!

By now, most of you know that Matt Hobbs, who lives across the river from the High Side!, has been trying to end live, outdoor music at the High Side!.

We wanted to update you on this legal battle, as it is still ongoing.

Matt Hobbs sued the High Side! for obtaining legal permits and holding live music, as well as the City of Salida for issuing those legal permits.

In his lawsuit, Matt Hobbs wants to stop the City of Salida from issuing permits to the High Side! Bar & Grill, and his lawsuit will also prevent the City from issuing permits to other venues that hold live music.

The High Side! has made a commitment to keep all our live music free to the public, with occasional help through sponsors. We spend $20,000 - $30,000 on music each year, and want to keep providing this as we think it's important for the community, and we are fighting to keep it this way.

Many of you have asked how you can help. The High Side! has already incurred around $15,000 in legal expenses, in fighting to keep outdoor live music alive in Salida.
