We are reaching out to our community to help us honor the legacy of an incredible teacher, mentor, and friend, Mr. James Kilton, affectionately known as Mr. Kilton. For nearly two decades, Mr. Kilton dedicated his life to educating and inspiring students at multiple Premier High Schools.

About Mr. Kilton

Mr. Kilton was more than just a math teacher. He was a beacon of knowledge and compassion, who had the rare gift of making math understandable and enjoyable for everyone. Through his patient guidance and innovative teaching methods, he empowered thousands of students to overcome their fears of mathematics and achieve their academic goals. His passion for teaching and his genuine care for his students made a lasting impact on everyone he met.

Mr. Kilton’s classroom was a place of learning, laughter, and encouragement. His humble nature and infectious enthusiasm for life left a mark on the hearts of students and colleagues alike. He was always ready with a smile and a kind word, making every student feel valued and capable of success.

Our Goal

In honor of Mr. Kilton’s legacy, his friends and family wishes to establish the James Kilton Memorial Scholarship Fund. The goal of this fund is to provide a $500 scholarship each year to a deserving graduate of Premier High School in Amarillo, Texas. This scholarship will support students who demonstrate the same passion for learning and determination to succeed that Mr. Kilton instilled in his students.

We need your support to make this scholarship fund a reality. Our goal is to raise $1,500 to ensure that Mr. Kilton’s legacy continues to inspire future generations. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us achieve this goal and honor a remarkable educator who touched so many lives.

How the Fund Will Be Managed

The scholarship will be managed by the Amarillo Premier High School Scholarship Fund, ensuring that each year, a deserving student will receive financial support to pursue their educational dreams. We will give away a $500 scholarship to a deserving graduate each year in the name of Mr. Kilton until the funds are depleted at the Premier High School of Amarillo Graduation. The more money we raise the longer we can keep the scholarship going.
