Help Keep My Family Off The Street

In March, my ex-wife and daughter were kicked out of the house they were living in because my kid coughed, and was accused of having Covid, by someone living there, even though the owner of the house KNEW my child has asthma. They moved out that day and into motels. Originally they were in a motel in Van Nuys with ONLY smoking rooms, which was not healthy for my child. The motel I found them since April, costs about $100 a night, not including food.  And is in a safer neighborhood where they can walk around if they get cramped in the room as my child does not want to leave the room alone, hardly at all. She is severely depressed and scared.

My ex and I have been struggling to borrow money to pay for it. We lost our self-employment work when the Covid hit. I spent all the money I had, over $8600 so far. I have been borrowing from friends and banks as we have no income since March, and have not gotten unemployment since August. The bank has been very generous loaning me money.  But now is getting itchy as they know I don't have  job, or income, and are threatening to cut me off very soon.

I'm in an unstable & uncomfortable living situation myself, and can't have them live with me.  If we don't come up with money soon, they WILL be on the street. They don't even have a car to call home.

In Los Angeles now, teenagers found living on the street are put into foster housing, which can result in abuse from the other children, extreme mental difficulties, and suicide. 

My personal health has been pretty bad, and I see many doctors each month. I don't have any resources to pull from. 

Now Christmas is upon us. And kids do NOT understand how money works.

I am hoping you can help me keep them in a safe place and fed.  Please keep my ex-wife and my daughter off the street. .
