Help Keep My Nephew Home

On Mother’s Day 2018, my 1 year old nephew was dropped off by his mother to the home of my brother. She claimed she couldn’t handle him, she wasn’t ready to be a mother and that she didn’t want to do it anymore. With no hesitation or doubts my brother, David, took Camden and made a promise that he will always take care of him and be both the mother and father that Camden will always need. Since May 2018, my brother has done nothing but care for him, teach him, and be both that mother and father that he promised to be.

When Camden was left in his custody he was barely eating solid food, he was under weight, and practically traumatized from the neglect he received since he was born. As a family we supported my brother David with teaching Camden how to speak, eat, interact with other children, and made sure he felt safe and happy.

My brother still allowed Camden’s mother to see him several weekends, he would take him to Pennsylvania himself to allow them to spend time together. At this point, my brother has begun asking for child support and now, because of this, she wants custody of Camden back. She is in dangerous living conditions and an unfit mother.
