Hello, my name is Rev. Demetrius Langford

Our Story:

My wife is a true warrior. She has been diagnosed with her third brain tumor, a fight she has bravely endured time and again. Despite her disability, her strength, love, and faith have always been the foundation of our lives. She saved my life when I was at my lowest point, and now I am determined to save hers.

Before meeting my wife, I was lost. I struggled with addiction and once lived a life as a drug dealer. After four failed suicide attempts, God intervened, placing my wife in my life when I needed her most. Her love and faith transformed me. With her encouragement, I went back to school and became a pastor. Together, we have spent years helping others on their recovery journeys, sharing our story, and spreading hope.

Our Current Struggles:

Life has taken a difficult turn for us. The company where I worked recently closed its doors, leaving us without my primary source of income. On top of that, I’ve been diagnosed with medical issues, including losing 97% of the use of my left arm. Finding a job when you can barely lift 50 pounds has become nearly impossible. I feel trapped, unable to provide for my family, and the burden is overwhelming.

Why We Need Your Help:

We are now at a financial dead end, unable to afford mounting medical expenses, basic living costs, and the care my wife urgently needs. For years, we have given everything to help others in recovery, and now I am humbly asking for help in return. Your generosity can provide us with the chance to stabilize our lives and focus on healing.

Through it all, my mother’s words echo in my heart: When things go bad, give it to God. We have done just that, placing our burdens in His hands. We believe in the power of prayer, the kindness of strangers, and the compassion of a community that comes together to help one another.
