Help Keep Ray Covington On His Road To Recovery

I’d like you to meet my dear friend, Ray Covington. if you’re a fan of the Twin Cities music scene, you might already know him.
I started working with Ray in 2017 and it didn’t take long for him and his wife, Denice to have a place in my heart.
Ray has been a household name in the Twin Cities music industry scene releasing his first album in in 2001.
Mid February 21, 2023 Ray sent me a message that I didn’t want to believe. He had met with an oncologist. There was a tumor in his esophagus/stomach as well as some concerning spots on his liver and lungs. A treatment plan was made. Three days later, Ray had his first performance of his anthology concert series. Less than two weeks later he had a procedure to put a port into his chest in order to begin chemotherapy resulting in a pause in preforming. By the end of March 2023 an infection developed presumably from the port causing treatments to be delayed. Rays energies are being focused on healing. For now working isn’t a possibility. I can’t imagine the challenges for a family of four to go from two incomes down to one. Rays capacity for empathy and kindness is inspiring. He gives the world positive energy every day expecting nothing in return. Can you imagine the impact we could make in his family’s life, now when he needs us the most.
