Help keep Sam Christensen's work and legacy alive

I'm Ken Cortland and I was Sam's business partner for almost 30 years. I managed the studio and also taught with Sam when we traveled all over the country holding workshops.

If you're like me your life was changed when you completed the Sam Christensen Process and received your Essence statements and Myth. I know you finally experienced what it feels like to be authentic in the world and how to just "be yourself". Genuine in every situation personal or professional. Not a day has passed when I do not use the work I learned with Sam. My desire has been for each of you to truly embrace that feeling and understand what makes each of us completely unique and utterly charismatic.

Authenticity is a gift we give ourselves and I want the entire world to experience the confidence and freedom that comes from such knowledge. I know from all the friends and family members you send our way that you do too!

Right now, I need your help to continue the work Sam pioneered by updating our database and online experience. If you received anything from the work you did with Sam please read on.

I have continued teaching the Process alongside our established Atlanta Studio headed by Matt Cornwell and Brooke Taylor. Both have been personally trained by Sam and teach their own in-person and Zoom workshops of the Process with a little assistance from me.

Since Sam's passing, it has been my greatest dream to find studios in Los Angeles and New York City that can teach the Process both in-person as well as online. After months of soul-searching and research for the ideal candidate, the perfect person dawned on me. Last Fall I approached a long-esteemed graduate of the Process who after studying with us and with Sam's enthusiastic advice created one of the premier acting studios in Los Angeles - the Lesly Kahn Institute.

Lesly Kahn also thought she would be the perfect person to carry the Process forward and we began to discuss a potential license agreement. Lesly is a big proponent of the latest IT. We agreed that redesigning and updating the SC Thesaurus Process and on-line modules would be vital to our "union's" success. I found a Program Designer and began work on these updates.

This "state of the art" update and redesign, will enable us to continue the Essence work for decades to come, with artists, kids and all kinds of people. Students will be able to do their surveys, questionnaires and personal research online and they will be automatically tabulated and placed into neighborhoods for that student. We will be able to do all the in-class exercises within this program. Students will save themselves hours of homework with every process seamlessly integrated into their results. We will still keep the 2 private in-class consultations because we will always need that human communication. I have discovered while training new trainers this is an extra part of the secret sauce that makes your essence statements so personal to you!

I need your help to complete this project. Please give what you can and those that are feeling flush please give as generously as you are able to. I know that many of you have experienced miracles and other great results from the work you did with Sam. PS - On a personal note, I want to thank the hundreds of you who reached out at the beginning of the year when I announced I was fighting Pancreatic Cancer. I asked then as I do now that if you're a praying person then please include me in your prayers. I believe in the power of prayer and affirmation and so many of you have offered me that grace. Quick update: I am almost done with chemo: my tumor has shrunk and has not spread to any other parts of my body (talk about the power of prayer). I am still an excellent candidate for surgery to remove this f**ker/tumor and will do so at the end of August. This is my best chance for a cure and to continue down my road as a cancer survivor. So please keep those prayers coming!
