Help Keep Shambhala Open

Shambhala Yoga & Dance Studio has been a cornerstone of the Prospect Heights community for 23 years and now we need your help to keep our doors open!
The road after COVID has been challenging. Moving to a new space and navigating reopening without government assistance or loans brought immense financial hurdles. Despite these challenges, community support has helped us grow to 250 members, employ over 25 dedicated staff, and establish programs that make a lasting impact—like hosting high school students earning credits while learning wellness practices.
Shambhala is a space where thousands have found connection, healing, and growth.
But today, we’re at a crossroads. While the community has flourished, the financial weight has become insurmountable. To keep Shambhala’s doors open and secure its future, we ask for your assistance!
To keep our doors open and create a stable foundation, we need to raise $68,995 by December 13th. This amount will allow us to:
- Pay back overdue rent and prevent eviction
- Catch up on payroll for our incredible teachers and staff
- Meet upcoming rent obligations and secure the future of Shambhala
The urgency is real: We need $19,416 by Monday, November 25th, to avoid closure.
Here’s how you can help:
1. Donate to our GoFundMe campaign: Every dollar makes a difference.
- If everyone who receives this email donates $11, we’ll meet our goal.
- If every student contributes $29, we’ll get there even faster.
- If every member donates $79, we’ll cover the most urgent expenses and stabilize our foundation.
2. Share our campaign: Spread the word to friends, family, and anyone who values the power of community spaces like Shambhala. Every share expands our reach.
This is more than a yoga studio—it’s a home, a sanctuary, and a resource for mental health and wellness for so many. We are deeply grateful for the love and support this community has shown us over the years.
Thank you for your support, your generosity, and for being part of this incredible community. Together, we can ensure Shambhala thrives for years to come.
