The Shermalot Water Ski Show Team story began in the summer of 1975 when a group of die-hard water skiers banded together to share their love of the sport. The Shermalot Show Team provides exciting entertainment to hundreds of thousands of citizens throughout northern Adams County and the state. The Shermalot Show Team is the third longest continuous running water ski show in the State of Wisconsin and a major tourism attraction to the Adams County Town of Rome, performing shows twice weekly on Lake Arrowhead since 1982.
Since its humble beginnings in 1975, Shermalot has prided itself on bringing the families within its community together through both skiing and spectating. Whether it's this summer or that summer 45 years ago, there was very seldom a show at which you would look out on the water and not see at least three generations of water skiers represented in any given act. Even more so, we love nothing more than skiing into shore to find the smiling faces of both the young and the old excitedly watching us perform. Our team members put our hearts and soul into water skiing because we love the entertainment that it brings to you.
As with many organizations, businesses, and families this year, Shermalot is struggling financially due to restrictions from the global pandemic. The loss of three paid shows this summer has destroyed the lion's share of the team's revenue, and team members come to practice each day trying to figure out what it's going to take to keep the team afloat with over $80,000 in yearly expenditures looming over our heads. With this fundraiser, we are humbly coming to our fans that have supported us and enjoyed our shows all these years. We, as well as our future generations, would love to perform for you on the shores of Lake Arrowhead for another 45 years, and any financial assistance that you are willing to offer during this troublesome year would be greatly appreciated. Thank you from the BOTTOM of our hearts. We look forward to seeing you in the crowd for many Saturday's to come!
