Help Stage Werx Theatre!!
Stage Werx is still hanging in there thanks to the generous support of this amazing community and the recent reassurance from our landlords that their rental discount will continue. As kind as that is, we don't have the financial means to cover rent, bills and preparations for a safe re-opening. The future's looking grim as we've fallen through the cracks. No grants or loans have come through and it seems government/state help is not on the horizon nor is there any assurance we'd be able to access it should it become available.
We're sensitive to the struggles of our artist community and are very reluctant to ask for help but things are looking bleak. What would be most helpful is if you could pass our fundraising campaign to friends, family or theatre lovers that might be in a better position to help a struggling venue as well as asking them to also pass this campaign along.

Stage Werx Theatre in the Mission District of San Francisco has been a home to many talented performers who have honed their craft, entertained audiences and gone on to the big time to share their gifts with the world. Small theatres like Stage Werx are ground zero for helping to create the entertainment a lot of folks have been enjoying while sheltering in place.
Stage Werx hosts every kind of theatre craft out there. Rock operas, stage plays, new works, solo performance, improv, sketch, stand-up, drunken spelling bees, naked men (and women) reading, circus arts, film and music. Performers from all over the world have tread our boards and audiences know they can swing by for something they can’t get anywhere else. We're also a breeding ground for technical theatre helping new technicians, stage managers, box office staff and others learn these fun and marketable skills.
