Help keep The Hidden Treasure 2's doors open
Donation protected
My name is Sandy, my daughter and I own The Hidden Treasure 2. We certainly wish we did not have to reach out for help like this, but our community-based shop is in trouble. If we can not find help, we may have to close our doors. That’s the last thing we want to do. As one of the shop's owners, I am asking for your help. Our shop has stepped up to help the community through our Mask Up Longmont mission, with over 52,000 masks distributed throughout Longmont, Boulder County, the Veterans Home in Aurora and beyond. We were able to raise $4000 plus dollars in gift cards to be distributed to those affected in Lousiville and Superior, donated craft supplies for various causes in our community, and opened our studio area to groups at no charge to hold meetings.
The problem is all that comes with a significant cost used for materials for masks, utilities, rent, and beyond. The rebound from COVID is just not happening. I have exhausted all attempts for loans, grants or any help for a woman-owned business only to have every door closed in our face. No loans, no grants, no or very little support from City, County, State or Federal. Since COVID, the business has been down around 50%. While we have been able to keep current on our bills, our past due accounts for rent and other expenses are way overdue. We need to come up with $15,000 + to cover past expenses. If we cannot find the funding to catch up, we will be forced to close. We love being a shop where artisans can display their works and share their passion with the community.
We know COVID has hit everyone hard. The bounce back is extremely slow for small businesses. We have been denied so much funding and have put everything we have into keeping the shop open. We are asking for your help. We just do not have any other place to turn. If you can help with a donation, we appreciate it more than you know. If you know of funding opportunities, we welcome that information as well.
I thank you for looking at this fundraiser to keep our little shop open. I know the ask is great, the need is great, and I really appreciate any help we can get. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at [phone redacted]. Thank you again for your support
