Help Keep the Memory of 23-month-old Zev Alive
A tragic car accident in Panama this April took the life of Zev Francisco Ausinheiler. 23-month-old Zev was the son of Bryan and Jessica and the brother of four-year old Zia Iliana. The Ausinheilers had moved to the Mamoní Valley in Panama a year ago to live out their passion for tropical rainforest ecosystems, sustainable living, and community-based conservation, founding the Caracol Basin Restoration Project. They quickly became cherished friends, neighbors, and dear members of the Mamoní community. Zev, while only 23-months-old, stole the hearts of the whole community and was beloved for his generosity of love, joy, vivaciousness and curiosity.
Those of us who appreciate the brilliant contribution that the Ausinheilers are already providing to Mamoní valley community outreach, have created this fund in memory of Zev to help raise the tens of thousands of dollars the family needs to secure land and support their work, alongside community leaders, in local education, entrepreneurship, and sustainable agriculture. Please dig deep to help make the Ausinheilers’ project sustainable and keep the memory of Zev’s love of nature alive.
