Help Keiran and Nykia Overcome Job Loss and Health Crisis

Hi, we're Keiran and Nykia Hullanté. Here's a bit of information about us. We got married on October 30th, 2024 and have been working hard to earn money in our new life together in order to make ends meet. We moved into our apartment together back in April to bring a shared dream to fruition and we are so grateful for our home, but we have also been living paycheck to paycheck as we have both yet to climb high enough in our respective ladders to afford a more comfortable way of living.

Most recently, Keiran was working as a technician serving residents of NJ & NY while Nykia was serving the community of Rockland County, NY. Employed by a non-profit organization, Nykia was tasked with providing much-needed mental health care and sober living reinforcement to the adolescent population who attend several of our high schools and young adult residents looking for support. The state of New York cut funding for Nykia's employer. As a result, Nykia had to make a decision to leave the organization she was working for after they continued instructing her to work in exchange for late, and often incomplete, paychecks for 7 months.

Keiran was happy with his position as a Cable Technician, often returning home from work - thinking about the satisfaction his clientele would express to him. However, an individual decided to attack Keiran's work van while Keiran was working in an apartment building in Bronx, NY. Despite Keiran's collection of evidence and transparent efforts to resolve what he had found, his employer subsequently fired him.

The two have been seeking employment prior to the loss of either of their jobs in search of better pay. Yet, even now, the job market is an unforgiving environment. Together, Nykia and Keiran have already applied to 250+ positions online over the past 9 months.

We are continuing our search for employment so that we can climb out of this challenging time, but we need your help. As you read this, we are actively wondering how we will pay each month of rent, how we will afford a life-saving jaw surgery for Nykia, how we will afford groceries to survive, and the list of our concerns does not stop there.
