Help Kelly with her second brain surgery

Hi, my name is Jessica and I'm here to tell you a little bit about my friend Kelly Liberali's story. She is a Brazilian student who went for a routine dr appointment as she had a re-occurring headache and discovered that she had a tumor measuring approximately 5.0 x 4.5 x 3.8 located in the middle of her brain.

The tumor was diagnosed as benign, but due to its size and being located in a critical place, she required an immediate surgery to remove this. After visiting two neurologist she was told how complex this surgery was and the tumour could not safely be removed in one surgery.

The first surgery was performed in November/2021, removing about 65% of the tumor and with a recovery time of approximately 2 months, during which my friend could not work.

In this first surgery, it was possible to count on the help of her mother who came from Brazil to take care of her, but for this second surgery it will not be possible to count on any help from family members in Brazil. Kelly is on a student visa, which will expire soon. The costs for this second surgery will be around $20,000. This price includes the part of the surgery that the health insurance will not cover, medicines, and as she will not be able to work for two months, the costs for her survival here in Australia, such as rent and food.

The exact date for the second surgery is still yet to be given but the doctor has already said that it has to be done by the beginning of March .

Kelly has just returned to work , but it will not be possible to get this amount in 2 months.

And that's why I came humbly to ask for your help in this very difficult time.
