Kelli Ballard McAllister https://www.facebook.com/slocombnp

' She is strong
and respected and not afraid of the future. She speaks with a gentle wisdom. She is always busy and looks after her family's needs. Her children show their appreciation, and her husband praises her. ' Proverbs 31: 25-28

To know her is to love her..... and this is just a snippet of her story.

Kelli has worn a lot of titles over the years. The most important being wife to
Stacey McAllister {retired Dothan Fire Department}, Mom to Kelcey and Ryan and most recently "Mingo" to sweet baby Wilks. However, she also has carried the
title of veteran, nurse, nurse practitioner, avid runner and friend {there's no doubt I missed many titles because she is so many things to so many people} and has
been the absolute best at each.

In February, while hunting with her husband in Westville, Florida, Kelli was in a
hunting accident. While sitting in the tree stand alone, her rifle fired inflicting a
gun shot wound to her leg. Thanks to her own medical training and the quick
action of others, Kelli was able to make it to Flowers Hospital where she was
evaluated. From there she was transferred to UAB where she underwent many
surgeries including an amputation below the knee.

While we are forever thankful that Kelli's life was spared that day and God is not
finished with her, we are saddened by the temporary limitations that she has to
experience right now because of this.

Kelli is the absolute best example of a Proverbs 31 woman and we have no doubt that she will overcome. But she could use a little help.

Kelli is employed at Flowers Hospital and she has not been able to return to work.Kelli had worked in the ER for almost 6 years on an as needed basis. She had just
accepted a full time job after 5 months of unemployment and had plans to start
her new position on March 1st.

Kelli's hope is to be ready for a prosthesis in just a few months so that she is able
to return to work and all of the things that she loves.

As you can imagine, the medical expenses even with some insurance coverage,
has been extremely high. The cost of a prosthesis and the therapy that will be
required with that could easily exceed over $100,000 in just the next few months. That does not include any of the expenses that they have already incurred
through surgeries and a lengthy hospital stay.

If you can find it in your heart, and budget, to give even the smallest amount, Kelli and her family would be extremely grateful. No donation is too small, as they all
add up and make a difference.

If you can not donate at this time, please add Kelli to your prayer list. She has
recovered well thus far but has a long road ahead.
