Help Kelli (Stephens) Glass with Medical Expenses
Donation protected
This page has been set up with the hope of helping Kelli (Stephens) Glass and her family with the financial burden they are currently incurring as a result of her recent, and very serious medical situation. Kelli is a 41 year old, devoted wife and mother. She and her husband Chad have been together for 24 years and married for 18 years. They have a 17 year old daughter Emma, who is a senior in high school and suffers from Multiple Sclerosis, and 10 year old son Connor, who is in 5th grade and has Tourette’s Syndrome.
Kelli was first diagnosed with Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver in 2006 and her family physician has monitored her liver since that time. This condition did not hinder her daily life and there had been very little change in her liver over the last 17 years. However, in the spring of 2023, Kelli started experiencing a lot of varying symptoms, some seemingly related to her liver issues, and some not. In April, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and in July, doctors determined that the Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver had progressed, causing Cirrhosis. In November, doctors recommended that she pursue a liver transplant and Kelli was also diagnosed with Wilson’s Disease (a genetic disorder in which excess copper builds up in your body and symptoms typically impact your liver and brain).
Over the last 6-8 months, Kelli’s assortment of severe symptoms has included some debilitating ones, leaving her unable to drive, carry out regular daily activities, and sometimes even unable to walk or shower without assistance. She has had numerous appointments with her family physician, gastroenterologist, neurologist, and recently a team of liver specialists. She has also already endured lengthy stays at several different hospitals. Her husband Chad has been faithfully by her side, taking her to and from all of these necessary doctor and hospital trips. As a result, he has already missed multiple days of work and more absences are anticipated as they move forward with the myriad of tests and appointments required to be completed before Kelli may be added to the liver transplant list.
All donations received will go directly to Kelli and Chad. The money will be used to cover their out-of-pocket costs for medical bills, Chad’s unpaid leave from work to care for Kelli, as well as fuel/travel expenses for the doctor/hospital visits. If you cannot contribute, please consider supporting the Glass family by simply sharing this page. Kelli, Chad, and their family would also appreciate your thoughts and prayers as they continue on this scary journey.
