Help Kellin Quinn Recover from Emergency Surgery

I'm reaching out because my family is in crisis. Our sweet kitten, Kellin Quinn, just underwent an emergency surgery after swallowing string, ribbons and hair ties, which severely damaged his intestines. What we thought would be a simple procedure turned into something much more serious—he needed a gastrotomy, a resection, and an anastomosis, resulting in 20 inches of his small intestine being removed. The total cost was a staggering $5,266, far beyond what we can afford.

Kellin isn’t just a big back who can't resist hair accessories—he’s family. A few months ago, I took in my three young cousins and two kittens, rescuing them from my abusive grandmother’s home. These kids have already endured more than anyone should, and their kitties are the only sense of comfort and stability they have left. I’m only 20 years old, a full-time college student, and the sole caregiver in our tiny apartment. I don’t receive any financial help, and despite my best efforts, my grandmother refuses to sign over guardianship or share the government assistance meant for the kids (which we will need to settle in court).

Now, with Kellin Quinn’s surgery, we’re at a breaking point. I’m terrified I’ll have to drop out of school just to keep us afloat. We’re already living off ramen, and Kellin still needs medications, special food, and lifelong care to recover.
