Let's save healthy cats & dogs from the overcrowded shelters

Dear compassionate animal lovers,

I'm reaching out to you with a dream close to my heart - to build an app that revolutionizes the way we rescue animals in need. Picture this: an AirBnB for animal foster homes dedicated to saving lives.

With your support, we can create a platform where shelter advocates can easily filter and search for foster homes based on calendar availability, foster parent skills, location, and more.

Available pet fosters can list their homes and offer to pick up and transport pets all over the country.

Our goal? To make a massive list of potential homes from coast to coast that can take a pet on the euthanasia list for the day, week, or month needed to keep them alive, providing them with a safe haven until they are able to go to a more permanent foster home or until they find their forever family.

This project is inspired by Aspen, a sweet & healthy german shepherd that was in Riverside California shelter. Her life ended for no other reason than she had yet to be adopted. I saw the instagram post showing she was on the euthanasia list but I live too far from California to go grab her.

Everyday, an average of 2,500 animals like Aspen are put down because there is no room in the shelters. Meanwhile, there are homes across the country of folks that could help.

There is a huge need to connect shelter advocates with foster homes in an organized and quick way. I regret that I didn't get started sooner, to save Aspen.

Together, we can ensure that no animal is forgotten while a home is open.

Our app will also feature a wish list for each pet, where donations can be made for specific needs like purchasing medical treatments. Every contribution brings us closer to our vision of a world where all animals have a chance at a happy, healthy life.
