Help Kelsie get back on her feet... and back to dancing!

Hey, my name is Kellie and I'm co-owner of GLOW Fitness in Raleigh, NC. I'm making this fundraiser for a dear friend and incredible colleague named Kelsie.

Kelsie is talented, beautiful, kind, bubbly, hard-working, and freaking impressive.

She did what many of us cannot, following her dreams to become a professional dancer, working out of Chicago for a number of years! We here at GLOW are lucky she returned south to be closer to family and she's been a cherished member of the team ever since. As an instructor, and a natural leader, she's become certified in all but one of our class formats (sometimes teaching multiple times a day to support us!), and fully trains or pays extra attention to other instructors when they need it. She's quickly moved up the ranks since we opened just over a year ago to become a manager, stretching her skills beyond the instructor role in a way that's truly awe-inspiring. We've enjoyed bearing witness to her talent and vivacious personality every step of the way, watching her choreograph and dance in GLOW's Lotus Room during the off hours for class prep as well as just for herself.

But lately Kelsie's been dancing a little less...

This spring, Kelsie's foot was randomly bothering her. She'd started running recently so assumed it was a stress fracture, but mentioned it to the doctor at a yearly checkup anyway. The doctor thought it was a bone spur and sent her to get an MRI.

They were both wrong.

It turns out Kelsie has an Osteochondroma, a type of bone tumor.

In her case, the treatment is an invasive surgery to remove it that risks her losing the ability to dance the way she's always known.

On top of that, the medical bills are mounting during a financially precarious time. Kelsie's husband is pursuing his own dream and started a food truck business in the fall. With the terrible tumor's terrible timing, they are struggling to stay afloat.

Donated funds will go directly to Kelsie to cover copays and medical bills, as well as support her and her husband during a financially stressful time so Kelsie can focus on getting through surgery and back on her feet (literally!!!).
